Cafe Artichoke Live, show - 7:30 pm (doors open at 7), $30.<br /><br />Internationally acclaimed cellist, composer and multilingual vocalist who sings in nearly 30 languages IAN MAKSIN returns to Portland January 8. He will perform music from his recently released album THE ALCHEMIST, other new original instrumentals and songs, as well as folk music he gathered during his recent travels around the globe.<br /><br />Amber Russell is an acoustic fingerstyle experimental guitarist with an unorthodox, theatrical style of playing. Her music has been described as imaginative and captivating.
