About this event

Beyond Beginner ‘U. kulele is an advanced beginner ukulele class for players with basic skills looking to take it to the next level, led by Avery Hill., $165 for eight classes/$30 drop-in. It is part of Artichoke Community Music School, but held at an off site location - NOT at Artichoke Music.

It’s fairly easy for some folks to pick up the ?ukulele and get themselves started. However, at some point, everyone needs a bit more guidance, perhaps some accountability, and the fun and support of a community to get them beyond beginner ?ukulele skills. That’s exactly what this class is designed to do! This class will use popular and accessible songs to build up our repertoire of chords, keys, strum patterns and maybe even a fingerpicking pattern or two! Participants will receive a weekly recap email and links to practice videos to support their weekly practice between classes.

This class is recommended for players who are comfortable with:

playing songs with the chords C, F, G(7), Am, and maybe more
a basic strum pattern or two
taking risks to learn new techniques and material
