What is this?
The annual celebration of all things Irish which happens every year on the second Saturday in August is going to take place again this year, just not in the live version we have come to know and love.
Main Stage Performances on You Tube,
Workshops on Zoom,
a Virtual Vendor site for shopping
and a Virtual Pub.
Performers on the main stage include:
Tommy Sands of Mayobridge, county Down
Clare Horgan of Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry.
Wings to Fly,
Jubilee,
and The Derry Aires
Philip Price and Natalie Harrison, lately of Anchorage and now of Arizona. Also performing on the main stage will be The Festival will also feature Storyteller Betsy Scott, John Whelan, John Walsh, and Brian Conway will be performing with Rose Flanagan and Kieran Flanagan.
The workshops will offer instruction in Ogham Writing, Sean-nos, History of Irish in Alaska, and Irish Song Circle, Irish Guitar accompaniment, Finger style DADGAD tuning, and Irish fiddle.
Attendees wishing to support local, national and international vendors can click thru to see arts and crafts for purchase.
The virtual pub will be a Zoom meeting room where attendees can drop in and visit with each other as well as tell stories and hear a song or two.
