What is this?
Every Sunday from Mar 1 through Mar 22, led by Tim Dawdy, harmonized playing (double stops) will be explored. Every week we will take an insightful look into the teachings of Stacy Phillips via his book. The student will study more scale concepts and apply the scales to improvisation in every class, $80 for four classes.
Prerequisites:
This is an intermediate level class.
Students should be familiar with the Dobro fretboard, and Dobro rolls.
The Student should have command of the G major scale.
The class will be taught in the GBDGBD tuning.
Thumb and two finger picks are required.
A solid slide bar is required.
This is a lap style Dobro class.
Required Book:
Beginning Dobro Solos by Stacy Phillips
Students may use the physical book (available at Artichoke Music). The electronic version of the book on your device is also acceptable.
