What is this?
Open mic: 7:00pm (doors open at 6:30), songwriters performing original songs every 1st and 5th Thursday night.
Join hosts Matt Meighan and Nina Yates every first and fifth Thursday for our celebration of songwriting and Portland's vibrant songwriter community. Songwriters, you're invited to put your name in the hat to play an original song during the evening. We choose names at random to perform. Songwriter Roundup is a unique and wonderful experience for players and non-performing listeners alike!
Donation at the Door: $5, Beer, wine, sparkling waters, tea and light snacks at the bar. At Artichoke open mics, we encourage what we call generous listening. Every song and every performer offers something of value. Whether performers are polished professionals or struggling beginners, we encourage you to focus on and support the positive in every performance.
