What is this?
Award winning singer songwriter, blues/newfolk/roots artist Anne Weiss will be appearing in the New Year on the Artichoke stage with a new band! Joining her, and also featured as soloists, will be multi instrumentalist, percussionist, vocalist and recording artist Martin Zarzar (Pink Martini), Nord keyboard wizard and vocalist JP Garau (Ellen Whyte) and Buoyant Bassist Julio Appling (Student Loan), $15, advance tickets available from Brown Paper Tickets (plus service fee).
Anne Weiss is a vocalizing treasure. Shes a songwriter, blues belter, gospel wailer, multi-instrumentalist, with an enormous, soulful voice, an unusual cross between Janice Joplin and Joni Mitchell, with some Aretha thrown in for good measure.
