Zoe and Jason met while playing in an Aretha Franklin/Smokey Robinson tribute show in Cambria, California. Since then, they’ve shared stages in L.A., Morro Bay, Ojai and — last fall — in Vancouver, Washington, where they played an official showcase at the FAR-West music conference. They’ve also collaborated in the studio, recording Zoe’s song, I Don’t Like the Holidays, in Jason’s sunny studio in L.A. They are excited to be back in the Northwest and playing at Artichoke, where they'll each play a set of original tunes with Jason backing Zoe on harmonies and lead guitar and then playing a set of original tunes.
Lewis Childs’ lifelong musical journey began as a teenager with an old guitar he found in his grandmother’s closet. A versatile performer and bandleader, his career ranges from featuring on festival main stages like the Oregon Country Fair and Northwest Folklife to fronting a Brazilian ensemble and the classic rock group Dead Famous, alongside appearances at historic venues like the Fillmore East and House of Blues.
For over 25 years, Lewis has also led public sing-alongs, managed stages and workshops for the Songwriter Soiree, and supported fellow artists as a multi-instrumentalist. He teaches songwriting at Clackamas Community College and works as a producer helping songwriters record their music through Groundswell Studios, a local resource dedicated to helping people express themselves through music.
