Sunny South is an Oregon-based bluegrass band rooted in tradition while bringing a fresh, contemporary feel to the genre. Built around tight harmonies, driving acoustic instrumentation, and a shared love of classic bluegrass, the band delivers music that’s lively, heartfelt, and steeped in songcraft.

Sunny South plays bluegrass with an emphasis on traditional style like Flatt and Scruggs, Doc Watson and Bill Monroe. Their sound balances hard-driving rhythms with thoughtful arrangements, giving space for both instrumental interplay and expressive vocals. Whether tearing through an upbeat number or settling into a reflective ballad, Sunny South plays with clarity, energy, and deep respect for the bluegrass tradition.

All concerts start at 7:30 pm. Doors to seating open at 7.

PFS Westside Concerts 2025/2026 take place at Southminster Presbyterian Church. These concerts have a focus on regional artists. We have nine concerts, all on Saturday nights, scheduled for the 2025/2026 season (September through May).
