What is this?
Interactive sessions led by Kate Power, $100 for four sessions.
Dadgad guitar tuning (dadgad) was popularized by Irish guitarists like Míchéal O'Domhnaill (Bothy Band, Nightnoise, Relativity) and Arty McGlynn (Patrick Street, DeDannan, Four Men and A Dog, Van Morrison) as a distinctive new sound in progressive Irish music. Whether you play rock, country, folk or world music, this tuning works on all styles. Míchéal O'Domhnaill shared the basics with Kate in 1981 when he lived in Portland, and now those tips will be shared with you.
September session on Tuesdays, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29 at 3-4pm PST. A simple method for a fresh, fun, effective approach to musicality on guitar for fingerpickers and rhythm players. Additional music support by Steve Einhorn. To register, click on the link below to receive Zoom registration that will follow with meeting id and instructions.
