Friday, September 27, 2019 - Jim Kweskin and Meredith Axelrod
Best known as a singer, jug bandleader & guitarist of the 60’s & 70’s, Jim Kweskin loves collaborative music having worked with Geoff Muldaur and the Texas Sheiks, Happy Traum, Samoa Wilson and his own band over the last two decades. In our season opener he performs acoustically with Meredith Axelrod dipping into treasures from the 1920’s forward for an eclectic blend of blues, folk, jazz, jug and rag-time music for a delightful evening not to be missed.

The folk troubadour Bill Staines sings mainly his own songs gleaned from the 26 critically acclaimed solo albums over his five decade career. His story filled lyrics & infectious melodies display a slice of America reflecting his feelings for the cowboy, Alaskan adventurers, long haul truckers, fishermen and the everyday worker. His reputation as a gifted songwriter and performer have gained him international recognition. Anyone unfamiliar with his music is in for a special treat!
Friday, November 1, 2019 - Radim Zenkl
Radim Zenkl has pioneered a unique style of mandolin music referred to as the “Zenkl style” in which a single mandolin sounds like two; taking the instrument to a new level. He plays everything from his native Czech music to bluegrass, classical, jazz, pop and standard American fiddle tunes. He was named US Mandolin Champion in 1992 and is on the cutting edge of the mandolin’s future. Besides collaborating with top musicians of the acoustic music scene he has recorded eight solo CD’s.

The extraordinary Honey Whiskey Trio explore vocal music and rhythm in a unique imaginative way. Courtney, Ann Louise and Christina’s voices blend harmonically as they perform all genres of music. The majority of their show is done A cappella. Their instruments mainly involve their feet and hands for a joyous outpouring of music and songs the majority of which are original arrangements. The apparent delight in every word uttered is very hard to resist.

Friday, January 17, 2020 - Kate Lee and Forrest O'Connor
Americana duo Kate Lee & Forrest O’ Connor earned national recognition as co-lead singers, instrumentalists and primary songwriter/arrangers for the O’Connor Band, a group they co-founded along with O’ Connor’s father, seven time CMA winning violinist, Mark O’Connor. Kate & Forrest wrote the majority of the band’s first album “Coming Home” which won a Grammy in 2017. With similar tastes and intuitions in music, this husband and wife’s talent will not disappoint.
Friday February 21, 2020 - Sam Reider and the Human Hands
Sam Reider is an accordionist, pianist, composer, singer-songwriter and leader of The Human Hands a remarkable band of bluegrass and jazz musicians based in Brooklyn, NY. This group has broken down boundaries between jazz, folk and chamber music around the world. In 2014, they were selected by the US State Department to be ambassadors of American music abroad. While not traveling the world, they’ve managed to perform in practically every state in the USA.

With musical careers spanning four decades, duo Robin & Linda Williams have enjoyed performing the acoustic music they love; a blend of bluegrass, folk, old-time and country. As gifted songwriters they have earned the deep respect of their musical peers and a huge body of fans. The 23 CD’s they’ve recorded are compilations of original tunes, songs by contemporary artists and numbers from the Appalachian and blues tradition.

Grammy winner Pat Donohue is one of the most listened-to finger pickers in the world. His devotion to acoustic guitar has made him an American standard as he echoes the tones of Robert Johnson, Blind Blake, Merle Travis or Muddy Waters. Chet Atkins called Pat one of the greatest fingerpickers in the world today. As the guitarist for the Guys All-Star Shoe Band on A Prairie Home Companion, Pat got to show off his savvy licks and distinctive original songs to millions of listeners each week.

is not busy raising quarter horses, cattle and Christmas trees on her family’s historic homestead in Canby Oregon, the singer/songwriter is performing old time country western songs with the emphasis on western, singing about the land, the Western lifestyle and family values. Harms also writes or cowrites most of her own material and has had songs covered by many well-known artists. She continues to tour nationally as well as in Europe, UK and Australia where she has a cherished following.
