PFS Board meeting minutes

Accounting needs to get current,

Action — David will communicate with Jinx to get figures from 2014 and all checks in.

Income is in access of $1,522.00 as of Nov 30

Operating funds are showing $2,957.00 in addition to our savings of $6,077.56

Concert committee

The board voted to support the concert committee and to learn what is needed to proceed to have a 2015/16 season.

Action — Lauren will speak with all committee members to learn eachís experience of the committee, strengths and weaknesses as well as to learn what might make the concert committee experience more successful and rewarding. She will then report on findings to the board.

Lauren has initiated contact about the youth concert for spring, no information yet.


Roster is most important issue,

Action — John K will ask Irja when she expects to be able to get a proof to David for the roster. Once David approves the proof it will then be sent to Hush Ink, printed, then Bobbo, Holly and Delores will complete the mailing.

Singtime Frolics

Registration opening Dec. 15th. Materials for registering and information on the weekend will be on line by this date.

Guest artists are Dick and Carol Holdstock and Richard Columbo.

Brainstorming and Strategic planning

Jan 4 email is going out to membership to invite members to participate in a survey and to come to a brainstorming session to begin a strategic planning process.

First Meeting will be Jan 25 1pm

New Business

All prospective board members need to submit a 2-3 sentence statement of intention or hopes for board service.

Global Folk

Board likes the idea to accept Andrea Wildís offer to have a quarterly pfs slot at Global folk.

Action — David will follow through on accepting and determing how to select performers of the same caliber of those in the rest of her series. He will figure out to let qualified PFS members know of the opportunity and to then get the word out to the community.
